Top 10 Things People Say when they are Super Angry
We have all been angry at some time at some point of our lives. For those who are already heated up mostly, they have spent at least a quarter of their lives in anger. It is easy to associate anger with high decibels or with the color orange and red or with angry converging eyes that seem to scare with their stare. But what is most amusing of all these to observe is that angry people usually speak a lot when they are angry. Just as each person has a distinct way of expressing happiness or sorrow, similarly every different person has a distinct way of expressing anger. So, here are the top 10 things people say when they are angry.
10. YOU ARE A (NAME-CALLING)
This occurs almost anytime and every time. When in anger, people tend to resort to name – calling. And mind you, it is not the pet names lovingly bestowed on the poor listener, but strange, rude and absolutely unbelievable ones. The angry person may seem to have gone out of his mind speaking all that non-sense but the fact is, indeed, anger dims the wits! Angry people would never or would only rarely address you with your official name, mostly it would be a summon trough a swear word or even an insult to your personality. Now, how seriously it should be taken depends on the person. Sometimes, words slip out of the angry person’s mouth by accident and UN-mindfulness while at other times, he or she, tells you what they actually think of you, so be careful to choose when to get hurt and when to shed your ego and calm the person down.
9. I HATE YOU
Yes, they say it all the time in anger but rarely do they actually mean it. Also, notice the paradox that mostly the people who speak it in anger are those who actually love you and care a lot for you. So, when they say I HATE YOU they are trying to vent out their anger on to something that is not true. SO, even though you might get hurt, but be patient and the same person would come back to apologize and convince you!
8. GET LOST FOREVER OR GO TO HELL
There are many things we say or indicate but we do not always mean them seriously. Still, people speak what they do not mean, almost all the time! But it is actually a very natural reaction! See, the person, when angry, is bound to try and get away as far as possible from you. Either he could walk out or would push you out, not only from his sight but also from his mind to calm himself down. The easiest way is to shout GET LOST FOREVER or GO TO HELL. Nobody can stand those words, ever! So, Lo and Behold, the trick works! The point is, nobody actually gets lost forever or is pushed into hell, but strong words are enough to push you out from his vicinity for a while so do not take these to your heart.
7. SPEAKING BETWEEN THE SOBS
Everyone has a distinct way of expressing their emotions. Hence, sometimes when people get very angry, they tend to cry and wail to shed their brewing anger. Their red teary eyes do not only depict pain but also communicate anger. So, in such a condition angry people tend to speak and mutter between the tears to express their anger. They may even become over sensitive and might become unable to control their tongues, thus ending up crying and shouting more than they intended to!
6. WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE…THREATS !
Angry people sometimes get the feeling that they are supreme and no body can stand before them or speak before them. So, to make it clear to their listener, the angry people usually say “WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE”. Through such words, they do not wish to seek an introduction but in fact they wish that every body around must keep their mouths shut. Angry people also give out threats… do not worry, they generally never mean to harm anyone without any reason but they surely do threaten very effectively!
5. GIVE ME MY DRINK !
This is another common reaction in anger-drinking! People seem to have devised their own unique and effective ways to treat their anger and calm themselves down. The first thing they seek is a drink! It is not a mere drink, it works as the elixir of life and calms the angry person who is blowing hot and cold. It may even just put the person to sleep or make him too weary to have any complaints or carry even an iota of anger.
4. PHILOSOPHIES FROM AROUND THE UNIVERSE
It sounds strange and looks weird to realize thus but the hard core fact remains – no body (from among those who are not generally deep-thinkers) in their right minds would ever blabber on about philosophies of life. It sounds like a dull activity which people wont even choose to do in their leisure. On the other hand an angry person may actually end up becoming quite philosophical. The only reason could be to show everyone around that they have a deep thought behind their mindfulness and also that they have a concrete reason for being angry. The only option remains to listen to them patiently otherwise you might be in for another dose of angry philosophical lecture!
3. SHOUT BEYOND THE PITCH
What else could an angry person do apart from crying, wailing, confronting and fighting? Yes, you would be precisely correct to think that it would be SHOUTING. This is the most essential part of being angry. Very rarely can you spot people who choose to be quiet in anger. This is a very peculiar thing about this emotion. One just cant remain quiet and at peace. There is a gush of adrenaline rush and the first thing that can release it is shouting. Angry people forget their pitch and cross their own decibel records… thus setting a new record! And we thought, shouting was vain…!
An angry person is not actually too much out of his wits actually… he knows that in order to maintain their stance at being angry they need to really convince everyone that they are completely justified in being angry. When they can see themselves getting defeated they resort to self-pitying. Their sympathizing with themselves may not be effective enough to convince every one else around but is definitely quite enough to keep themselves satisfied with their own stance of becoming and remaining angry for as long as they want.
1. THE ACCIDENTAL TRUTH !
Let us understand that and angry person has no control, usually, over what he thinks what he says and even what he speaks. What more could be expected than some surprising fireworks from such a reactionary person. But in those angry moments, he is also very weak and can be induced to speak something which he, otherwise would never have agreed to part with. All that needs to be done is light a small match of unexpected taunt at the fellow and the very next moment even before you begin to realize, he is out with the truth of what he thinks and what he feels! It is not always true though, yet many a times this actually happens so be prepared to take mental notes for your future reference when someone with a bad temper is shouting away his own version of what he thinks is true.
