With winter fast approaching, the animal world is gearing up by stocking up on some food and building shelter, while some prepare themselves for hibernation. We too are busy getting ready to face the coming winter head on, be it hitting the supermarket for some DVD’s, books and tinned food or raiding our closets and hunting down our old sweaters and gloves. On cold winter Sunday mornings, with no responsibilities beckoning you out, there’s nothing more comforting than bundling yourself up in a blanket with a good book or just watching your favourite movie. A perfect picture for a cold, lazy Sunday morning; it is incomplete without some comfort food. Here is a list of foods that’ll make your already amazing day all the more wonderful; just like putting a cherry on top of the cake.

This is one recipe that does not take much time to make and you don’t need any special ingredients for it. It’s a quick trip from under your covers to the kitchen and involves at most ten minutes of bearing the cold. And before you know it you’ll be back under the warmth of your blanket. Just slip in some tomatoes, lettuce, ham, chicken, olives or whatever else you find after hunting in your fridge. Just put them all together with a slice of cheese and grill it.
